Ragam Malaysian (PART 1)Malaysia is a country which full of colors, green nature and many races in one roof. That’s why Malaysia always in my heart, and that’s why too I always choose Malaysia instead of other countries. I got the idea to write about Ragam Malaysian after hanging out at the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. That’s the place where every type races meet and together they work and create peace which can’t be seen in other places.
As I walked down to Jalan T.A.R where they sell all those ‘raya’ stuff during Ramadan Al-Mubarak, the crowd purposely made me sick with all those stinks and the way they pushed me. Ah! I almost drown in those sea of people as I’m a petite girl who tried hardly to survive in the ‘world’s hell’. There were more carbon dioxide to inhale instead of oxygen. Plus, the sellers were real loud man! Their voice was like a stereo that can be heard till 3 miles away just to attract people (as if the people was pekak la.) The next thing I know was I NEED TO GO BACK TO MY HOTEL NOW and I’m dying because my artery ‘shrink’! Got asthma that time. Too much CO2 was inhaled la kot. Somehow, after I think very damn deeply about it, THERE ARE NO SUCH PLACE LIKE THAT IN THIS WORLD (or maybe ada, just trying to make it in more dramatic way. LOL).
Observations with inference :
1. Crowd who doesn’t care about the possibility that they might hurt others physically by pushing.
- Maybe there are too into shopping or they barely able to stand the man-made loudspeaker.
2. Man-made loudspeaker.
- They think it was the best way to get higher profit by hurting others ear drum. I found out, indeed it was somehow a success work done by the loudspeaker.
3. Raya stuff
- This is the ‘best-est’ part and the reason why people love that place (including me). The prices are reasonable and can be accepted and the things they sell are quite nice.
Then, the accent the Malaysian use. Malay, Chinese and Indian have their own ‘slang’. We can differentiate them by ONLY hearing. So, ear play a role there people!
Observations with examples:
Malay (some) : The way they talk is like totally awkward and weird.
Example : “Can we meet to discuss about this thing?” she said.
“ No. No. No. (make it sound very dramatic). We couldn’t met because it’s not good.”
He replied.
Chinese (some also) : “ Cannot la~~ CHO.”
India : “Aicho! What la you dey!”
So, by the way they speak we actually can know what their race. Somehow, today, we can’t differentiate races anymore by only speaking. Because, their own unique ‘slank’ are used by everyone! You can hear Malay use the Chinese’s ‘la~ and Cho’ and the Indian’s ‘dey’ and same goes to the Chinese and Indian. By the way, we are 1Malaysia what?.
Okay. Enough with the part 1. I’ll continue later. Tired la, give me rest first then I’ll continue part 2. Bye ppl!
